Starting into my official third day off of the week and we're off for a two-day trip to Orlando for a little sanity and a LONG-needed trip to see my beloved glitter_my_glam. Much plotty-plotness ahead. ;)

The only downside? No laptop. However, that doesn't mean we won't plan something. saavikam77, januaried, we miss you already!

Here's hoping the trip is a blast!

As it's going to be my first [and only] real vacation of this year, I'm glad we did. I really wish we had had just one more day. There really wasn't time to do half the things we wanted to do. Oh, well, we got to see A.J. and the room we had was actually pretty damn awesome for the price we paid. DAMN AWESOME, actually.

Have fun! Wish I could take a vay-cay...however I'm 1: out of vacation time, as maternity leave drained all of it and 2: out of money, baby and maternity leave drained a lot of it. :( And siding we will be paying for in the next few months will also suck up a lot of cash. Sigh.

Sadly, this is the first time we've gone anywhere this year that was really about fun. The New Mexico roadtrip in April was more about getting the car and getting back in time to get back to work. Not much fun stuff done on that trip but the scenery, as we were in the car for 13 hours a day for three days. The month off between May-June was a very drugged-out period of time and painful, to boot.

The two days in Orlando were nice, but rushed. Just too damn much we wanted to do and just idn't have time for. Plus this was an unpaid week of vacation. So yeah, lousy paycheck next week. We need to make sure we can save all we can for the trip I've been promised in January or February because you really can't enjoy it too much unless it's three days or more. Plus, with what has been projected as potential Christmas sales, I'm going to have to cling to this little vacation's memories like mad.
