...Not the greatest picture of her. But yeah, McGonagall is FIERCE. ♥

No, it's not, but I don't think it was intended to be a pretty one. Also, Dame Maggie has been going through chemo, so you know...

Awww! No, I didn't know that. And actually I meant the layout of the poster itself - the way she's leaning clashes with the way the statues are leaning, and it makes her look weird. And her face needs to be more in shadow to match the rest of her body. It's just a weirdly done poster.

Yep, she was on radiation therapy throughout the filming.

And I should have know it was the graphics! Seems that they've had a lot of problems at WB with that sort of thing lately.

Finally uploaded an HP icon again for this...

Poor lady. I hope she makes it through okay.

Stupid WB. I'm not too fond of this style of poster anyway - it worked for a few of them, but for a lot of others, it's overdone and just looks strange. I don' tthink it works for McGonagall at all here.

Agreed - I don't like any of the posters they've released for this film. Nor the posters for part one.

That said - I LOVE MCGONAGALL and agree she kicks ass!!

Yes, she does! And at more than twice the age of any female action star. YOU GO, MAGGIE!

Very true. I also have to say that I admire her first name. Anyone that can rock the Goddess of Wisdom's name is bad*** in my book.

I've considered naming my daughter (if the little one currently on the way is a girl) Minerva but hubby's nixed that one. I suspect that name actually might make a comeback though (I suspect ALL of the HP names will become popular with my age range.) Hubby and I want to bring back names that have fallen out of usage, not end up part of the crowd.

I find myself going back and forth between using classical names and fairly modern ones. Most of my original fic characters end up with fairly creative ones. For example: in me and Mysa's series, the lead female was Kesselia Loise. Another has a girl named Breannan Leigh. I'd love to use more of the old Greek names, but you just have to find a way to keep someone from thinking they're too old.

Minerva McGonagall... showing other HBICs how it's done since... well, pretty much forever. :D

I so need to reread the books...

I gotta say, that is TRUFAX. You try being that age and being as badass as she is. At any age. I dare you.
