And So, The Weekend Arrives And...
this afternoon, with fifteen hours of sleep in me, the pair of us are off to see ferdalump  and chickadilly  in Orlando. SO EXCITED! Although, I must keep me and Lea's Smallville squee to a minimum, but I think last night's change from Kala's The Blur's costume may help a little in that department. Don't laugh; I said a little. ;)

Pics when we get home hopefully.

Not really a comment, but more of a heads-up if you didnt see it yet:

All I can say is that the end result could be interesting, given the right treatment. I am cautiously optimistic about it: Snyder is the resident comic book geek (with an almost slavish devotion to the source for his adaptations of 300 and Watchmen), and Nolan has a tendency to turn anything he touches in box-office gold. We'll see how they handle the supposed "dark" element of the tale, but if they tackle it similarly to the way the Smallville crew does, it might just work.

I think my biggest problem with the reboot comes down to the fact that most of what they're looking at for inspiration are the comic book story lines that I like the least (I've already heard some mention of using a reboot series that I loathed mentioned as a possibility) and the fact that they seen determined to make him have some dark and gritty element. And that just ruins it for me. It really worries me. I hate the idea of a Superman movie I won't watch. :(
