Soooo, I'm Having A Couple Problems With The Latest Video Project...
In the end, this is going to be yet another tribute video. I was so excited to finally get a ton of HD footage, only to have this issue with the aspect. Hoping someone has an idea what's going on here so I can clean this up and be on my way to getting to finished. I also think this is going to be two separate videos when I'm done. The issue at hand makes me crazy because this is one of the projects that I was happiest with and now this happens. ferdalump, anyone, any suggestions?

I can't view the vid because a message comes up saying the content is blocked. :\

That's bizarre! I'm viewing it right now and we're in the same state, not to mention the same country. *whine*

Here's a screenshot. It's the music that has it blocked. (and since it is your vid, you are able to view it but no one else because of the music claims block.)

Oh, you bastards! *headdesk* Okay, uploading to Vimeo now.

Okay, Ferd, does it look any different? I did the Audioswap just so you could see what's up with it.

It still won't play for me. I even went to your youtube page and I get the same blocked message. :(

Can you take a screengrab of what the footage is doing for you? Or maybe upload the vid somewhere I can download it to look at it?

Okay I checked it out and showed it to Chad and honestly I'm not sure what the problem is. It's really wild. It could be a form of copy guard. It could be an issue with incompatible source material. Are you being uniform with all of your source types? (i.e. are you using all .avi or all .mpeg etc? Or mixing them up?)

It could be what Chad said "God saw she was using Superman 4 footage and decided to smite the whole thing." :p ;) Sorry, thought you could use some comic relief. ;)

I'm sorry I can't help more. I can pose the question to some vidding circles I run in. Or if you want me to rip you some source and send it over to you and see if it works for you.

I was worried that a copy guard could be the problem. :( And those should be .avis. *frown* It just figures I'd hit a glitch.

XD Tell him you use what you've got! And in the case of SIV, it's more footage. He has a point, though. The only good scene are Chris and Margot's.

OMG, I would love you forever for some ripped material. *heavy relieved sigh* I'm going to keep poking it, but I may just split it in half. I need to research more rippers. So much for wanting better material to work with. *headdesk*

I think the aspect issues stem from the coding on the modern HD videos. If I had my hubby's tech savvy I would probably be able to help but as I have no clue how to rip vids off of DVDs and such.... *shrugs* Sorry I can't help.

It also may have something to do with the DVD ripper. The biggest suck is that its both the HQ and the DVDs that I own that I ripped that are doing it. *grumbles*
