LOL! Oh Clark, that wasn't quite the thing to say...

And he really didn't mean to put his foot in his mouth; it's just didn't sound that way in his head. *wince*

The good thing is, maybe this will get them to actually talk about things...

Oh can't wait.

“Your insecurity,” he retorted, and closed his eyes. That hadn’t come out right…

I can just here him mentally saying "doh!"

Definitely. But then again, maybe it's a good thing. Mostly because he does have a point.

They need to learn that the only way for a relationship to work is with communication. I love how real the tensions and problems between them seem. Was there a relationship in your life that you have drawn from to create this broken marriage?
Lois: Heirs :: Clois :: Trust Issueskalalanekent on February 6th, 2010 07:01 am (UTC)
And communication used to be one of their greatest bonds back in the day. So what happened to break it down? Maybe we'll find out more.

And no, actually. I always thought that this would be a problem with them if they let events get in the way of their relationship like everyone does in real life. What makes heroes so different? And how could their wives be saints when put in that situation? Just like any good thing in your life, you eventually take it for granted on both sides. My thought was, with all of the stress and craziness in their lives now, why wouldn't they? And, once that's happened, can they find their way back to where they started?

And we'll see in the next few chapters what the final verdict shakes down to.

I have to wonder if they're going to have to sit down with Dr. Marrin *kinda shudders at thought but it also intrigued by the storyline that might come from that*. Then again the fact that Marrin had a previous relationship with Lois may preclude him from doing so.

Oh, I think someone will be going to see Elliot once all of this is over; the question is, who will be there to go?

*is all serious and mysterious* ;)

...the question is, who will be there to go?

If THAT doesn't sound ominous, I don't know WHAT does.

I actually can't say too much on any of that part of it, as close as we are to the most dramatic events of the story. I'd seriously ruin a lot of things if I give away too much.
athenesolon: STM Lois and Clark @ DPathenesolon on February 6th, 2010 07:12 am (UTC)
That's fine (it was rhetorical comment on my part).

Yeah, but you're cute when you're rhetorical. ;)
