Ah, Story, How I Love You
Any day that you have to research nuclear incidents worldwide and review the entire JLA roster to remind yourself of people's strengths and weaknesses is a good day.

smallville question
As you are so much more knowledgeable than i of all things superman i was hoping you could explain something for me. In the latest Smallville episode at the end Tess opens a brief case with something obviously important inside. I have no idea what it's supposed to be. Admittedly i only started watching Smallville again at the beginning of this season so i assume i missed something.

Re: smallville question
Actually, I'm ashamed to say that I'm not really sure which Kryptonian artifact that is that she's holding. Looks like an orb, but there are so many 'important' little thingies in SV that I normally can't keep up. And it's not Superman canon, so I'm just waiting to see myself. *sheepish smile*

Thanks for asking, though. Unfortunately, I'm useless this time.

Kryptonian Control Orb
Hello :) It's me Charles.
I apologize for presuming to answer your question, Nire135, on Kalalanekent's LJ. I wasn't sure if I should just chime in with the answer or if waiting for her would be more proper. Now that she has given it her best shot, I feel I can give my opinion as to the mysterious object. I believe it is the same object used to try to control Clark at the end of Season 7. It's a glowing purple sphere that was created by Jor-El I think. It was the last fail safe he created to protect the humans from a rogue kryptonian. So, if Clark had become evil, He could have been stopped. When used properly it was designed to give direct control of the kryptonian to the wielding human. When Lex tried to control Clark, Jor-El simply removed Clark's powers so that Lex could not have a super robot. Anyways, this is only my opinion, I could be wrong of course. If anyone else knows better or more, I would greatly appreciate their input :)

P.S.Thank you for taking the time to read this very long comment.

Oh, Charles! Dear, if you ever have the answer to something I don't know, please feel free to jump into like this. Seriously! I don't mind. And at least now we have an answer. :D
