Also saw 'Crimson' finally! Other than the Lousy, Stupid, God-Could-We-Please-End-This-NonCanon-Idiosy-That Is-Clana-PLEASE!!!!, the episode was great. VERY tired of co-dependant-on-Lana-crack Clark. I'm with Lois. What does she have, other than the astonishing ability to alternately bitch and cry? She's a pretty crier, I'll give her that. And she does scared and frightened well. Poor Kristin Kreuk. So pretty, but with absolutely a train-wreck of a character to play. *disgusted sigh* This is why I stayed out of Smallville for so long. I can only handle their Lana...or any Lana...for so long. Eventually youwant to just going all Saving Jane's Girl Next Door On Her and holler, "Everybody loves her, but I just wanna hit her!"

So what's with the ending? Is she going to play Lana-the-Krypton-Slayer again? *another eyeroll* God, Caroline, pass me the bucket on that note, please? All of these notes, really. Been there, done that, MOVE ON!!!

But, on a sweeter note, I think we've finally found a good use for Bad!Kal. See, Red K isn't always bad. I mean he did point out so truths at the party and he is *very* well-behaved (comparatively) with Lois. And the whole DP section and the stuff at Ollie's was great. Love the 'acting like a girl' comment from Jimmy, too. This was such fun. XD

I think Kristen would have a BALL playing a villian! She looks like she loves playing the baddie when she's given the part. And I think it would cut off the Clana for good - Clark might try to 'save her' like you said, but I think it would be an excellent way to cut their relationship down for good.

In the end, though, I think things are going to come down to this baby. And I think she's going to lose it in the end.
Loiskalalanekent on February 3rd, 2007 02:13 am (UTC)
And I completely agree with everything you just said. Including the baby. They've gone against canon on almost everything so far. What would it hurt to take it a little further? Make Lana the first of the ex-wives? At this point, it's either that or kill her. And I truly believe that child won't make it. Which stinks because then it goes her more angsty fodder. *facepalm*
sean_montgomery: Clark - Booknerdsean_montgomery on February 3rd, 2007 02:16 am (UTC)
But if Clark were smart, he'd listen to Mommy's advice and leave the girl alone!!

Then again, we all know Dopey as anything but smart in this series. *facepalm*

Who knows - maybe losing the baby will make Lana grow up a little. It's quite a thing to go through.
Loiskalalanekent on February 3rd, 2007 02:28 am (UTC)
I always wondered why he's the stereotype of the teenage boy. Can't he be just a little smarter than that? *groan*

And no, probably not. It'll just give her something else to whine about. *another groan*
sean_montgomery: Clark - Booknerdsean_montgomery on February 3rd, 2007 02:30 am (UTC)
That's the thing... isn't he supposed to be hitting his twenties soon? Shouldn't he be grown up a little more by now? *grabs Dopey and tells him to read up on it*

If she wines about this... I just might lose my patience for this show. I love it to death, but seriously... how much longer can we take the Clana? After six years... don't you think that's torture enough??
Loiskalalanekent on February 3rd, 2007 02:40 am (UTC)
It was torture enough the first season, which was whern I stopped watching it. I have the first two seasons on DVD, but watch them more for Jason as a teenager than anything else. I need to get the Lois seasons now, too, so I have Elise.
sean_montgomery: Jason - Goofysean_montgomery on February 3rd, 2007 02:48 am (UTC)
I actually didn't think Lana was that bad in the first two seasons. It was when she started to get whiney and all, "Oh, CLARK! You like me?? *giggle giggle*" that I started to feel my gag reflex act a little more often. They honestly can't drag this on anymore. It needs to end soon, or at least have a major dramatic impact at season's end.

At least we can be happy with the fact that something has obviously changed for Lois and Clark after this episode. Didn't you get that feeling?
Loiskalalanekent on February 3rd, 2007 08:47 am (UTC)
Ohhh, yeah. The promo poster was right on that. Clana or no Clana, the official Clois has begun...
sean_montgomery: Jason - Goofysean_montgomery on February 3rd, 2007 04:12 pm (UTC)
And *SQUEE!* to that! For all the Clana we have to endure, there should be at least ONE scene per episode with Clois in it. I think we could all agree to that. : )

Oh, and that promo poster you were refurring to? Do you have a pic of that somewhere? I haven't seen it!

Give me a moment and I'll post it on my LJ. It's awesome.
