Made it through in one piece. More annoying and draining than even Black Friday. Going to go lay down and veg for a few. Then I'm going to work on something happy. Like the last tiny bit of the current chapter so we can get it out to beta (htbthomas, tell me when it's safe to start sending to you again and trekkie6, let me know if you still want to beta. I haven't heard anything in a little while) and then mess with the Christmas oneshot and the next chapter......Zzzzzzzzzzzz.......

I loooove you! *tacklehugs*

And congrads on proving to everyone else just how awesome I always knew you were. I'm still in total awe of your word count! I'm so crazy-proud of you!

Aww, you sounds so tired!!! *gives you a cup of coffee so you can write more* LOL

Nah ;p *huggles* Take care of you, sweetie! <3

*happily takes the coffee anyway* To tell you the truth, I'll likely brainstorm with Anissa while watching TV. And does this mean I'll see you around the writing again? *looks excited and happy*

around the writing? Its depends. I'm following heirs through ff.net, but I have to say, I'm SO late into the 12 daus of clois new challenge. I have so many fic to read and as I work 7day a week, it's quite difficult to find free time :( But I'll try. You might see me more around into the comment. But not much for graphics *shy*

I only need to bug you about banners every once in a while. I have a few planned for later, but I'll warn you before that. I know that you don't have too much time these days, but I made you a promise that I would only let you do the layouts. That's why I'm so glad that we found this one.

And it's okay if you can't review. Just let me know what you liked and didn't like when you get to it. Your feedback still means a lot to me, Katness. *snuggles* But don't feel like I'm forcing you. You know that's not my thing. ;) *blows kiss*

Aww... *gentle huggle* Get some good rest, hon.

And don't forget that I still want to beta for you guys, even though Barb is back on the job. ^_~

Awww! Are you sure? We'd love you forever!

Of course! :D I'm honored to be part of the beta team! And I'd love to have you and Anissa still on *my* beta team for Aftermath, too, if you guys still want to do it. ^_^

Lois: Lois :: Writing Divakalalanekent on December 1st, 2008 05:21 am (UTC)
We'd love to; it's just that we've never been betas and resisted it for years. That and we want to both get your beta done to the best of our ability plus write, which is sometimes interesting. *LOL* But we'd love to, if you can forgive us the occasional "OMFG! THE BETA!!!!" moments.

*hugglesmishes right back*

I hear you on 'interesting'. :p Sometimes time management can be a real bitch, especially when you have a job, to boot. But of course I can forgive the OMFG moments. XD Sometimes it seems like that's the only SQUEE I get for Aftermath anymore. *wistful sigh*
Lois: LS :: Lois Jason :: Never Doubt Lovekalalanekent on December 1st, 2008 06:30 pm (UTC)
OMG, no kidding on the time management. I don't even remember being this pressed for time during once-weekly LS! GAH! And with my hours going back and forth, it's just so much lose. :(

And awww! I hate that, especially since the writing is awesome! The only reason I can imagine is because some assume that they've already read it, which sucks. Essentially what you're doing is a reimagining of Aftermath less than an edit. People just don't understand that writers can do that with something and make it into something new. And didn't you tell me that you had something planned to follow Aftermath? When you finally get to that, that will likely perk up your readership, too. It happened with LS and Heirs.
saavikam77: Destinysaavikam77 on December 1st, 2008 08:25 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I can't even imagine how I ever cranked out 13 pages a week on Aftermath, now. All I can figure is that it was b/c I had my laptop and b/c I wasn't working on anything else at all. :p

The loss in readership has been a real downer. Most of the folks that read the first posting have said they're waiting for me to finish the whole thing (which is gonna take many moons yet), but you're right about people not thinking much has changed. It really has, even though some stuff is coming through practically untouched. There's just so much new stuff, and so many sections being rewritten almost from scratch...

I'm actually planning to do part of the Aftermath sequel as my 12 Days Xmas fic this year, after much deliberation on how to make something fit the prompt. *evil grin* I really hope it gets people interested again, enough to go back and read the Big Edit. *fingers crossed* O_O
Loiskalalanekent on December 2nd, 2008 06:34 pm (UTC)
Really, I think we can get back to doing the same word count in a week; it's just that we've let ourselves get a little lazy. We really need to get back on the ball. Seriously. I hate that it's taking this long to get the story written. *crosses arms and pouts*

YAY for the 12 Days fic, then. That should sttir up interest pretty well. Make sure to mention in the notes for it that you're restructering Aftermath. That way you reach the entire LJ community to it.
