The Things You Do For Your Friends...

Okay, I was wandering around YouTube this morning and saw this. I'm not really a Spidey fan, but I have to admit that Tobey has made me like the character more, alot more. So when I saw this this morning, I had to post it. This personally might make me see it in theaters instead of DVD. This fan film teaser is by gtkilla143:

I talked to htbthomas about this and was stunned to learn that the guy from That 70's show is the Toby look-a-like! I'm really pumped to see this!

Much to my own surprise, me too. It looks awesome.

YESSSSSS. Come to the Spidey side... SSSSEE it in the theater... you KNOW you wanna... (Otherwise, how are you going to understand my fic if you don't? Heh.)

Topher Grace = Eddie Brock / Venom. Apparently he is the only one (other than director Sam Raimi) who was a fanboy before being cast. lol.

And that was KIND OF a fan-made teaser. It was basically a combination of the 3 available teasers, plus the Comic-Con 2006 footage of Venom at the end. There were a few things - like Brock praying in the church - that were not on there, though.

Speaking of Spidey, I picked up the prequel MJ miniseries to SMLMJ at my library today and read it all in one sitting. What have you done to me, Barbara?! (Insert torturous villain yelp here.) I'm almost as psyched for this movie as I am for The Dark Knight! (Blasphemy!)
Barbara: MJ What's gotten into you?htbthomas on January 19th, 2007 01:10 pm (UTC)
What? Really? ;)

Yeah, I'm not sorry I've pulled you into my web. The MJ series is so much fun, isn't it? I would have started you there, but it's no big deal to go back and read that later. It's only 8 issues all together, and I think it builds up Liz Allen's character a lot than I've seen before.

Psyched about the movie. She has yet to pull me in entirely. I'll always be more of a Boyscout fan. Although B has broken the rule I always heard when I was younger like no one else: Comic book fans are divided completely on one issue, are you for Spiderman or Superman. You can't be both.

*anticipates the yelling and ducking into the trench*

Remember this was said most when I was in junior high and by boys. You do the math.

Boys!! So immature sometimes...

Anyway, yeah, I pulled more than one Spidey fan over to Supes this summer, so I would NOT be surprised if I did the same thing in the opposite direction.

At heart, the two boys have similar issues with conscience and guilt. But Spidey is more of a me-against-the-world type, and Superman has the love of the world (while his alter-ego gets no love).

(Superman has the love of the world (while his alter-ego gets no love))

Which is something we're all trying to fix! ;)

And about that fic, you never know when I may wander over there... :D
