*Big Fat Headdesk*
Brian leaves for vacation for a week after Saturday. I have a newbie that's in her late fiftes with no computer skills that's had two days' training as well as my usual disappearing and excuse-making co-worker who's just getting back from vacation on Friday. A ton of freight is coming starting Monday. I'm not off until next Friday. And there's no one to keep the rest of the staff from pulling me out of Harmon at any time.

For a week.

That is all.

With the exception that Whatever It Takes is going to beta before the weekend is out, along with the LS postscript fic. They'll be to you very shortly, elliania.

...my usual disappearing and excuse-making co-worker...

Ah, if only said disappearances and excuses were the result of superpowers, and not the fucking lameness of a human being.

Tell me about it. One of my close friends at work told me that when she was working Monday night, Mrs. Long-Time-Employee-Who-Should-Know-Better dropped off her keys for Harmon and took a break at 6 (she's only allowed a fifteen minute break due to the fact that she's only there for five hours).

Kris didn't see her for thirty minutes, then heard her call out that she was going to lunch around 7:45. Mrs. Long-Time didn't ever come back for the keys and left around 9:30 without telling anyone that she was gone.

And she really had an easy night besides, since they held freight for me for the next day. Grrrr...! And she's like this every day. And they won't fire her because she only works three days a week and has been with the company for five years.

I feel bad about whining, but OMG! *headdesk*
