*Grump* Okay, Well, Anissa's Sick, So We Have To Wait

We only have one more tiny edit before we post Making New Traditions, so it will likely be up by tomorrow night. Since our schedule has been so wonky of late, I thought maybe I should recap what's currently being worked on. That is, if anyone's interested. ;) Oh, and elliania? Get hold of me when you can, Kat. I haven't seen you the last little bit and need to see what's up.

Status: Last-minute polish; due tomorrow

Spoiler:
Jason came tearing into the room right behind Kala, and he grabbed Lois’ sleeve, yelling, “Daddy’s on TV!” Much to the reporter’s surprise, her six-year-old son dragged her into the living room. By then, Kala was literally jumping for joy, making a dizzy quarter-turn with every leap.

Title: Little Secrets: The More Things Change... (LS Post-script fic)
Current Word Count: 4,828
Status: Final bit of editing and then off to the beta team

Spoiler:
"Hello, Peregrine,” Ella said just as politely. Her attention was mainly on Loueen, and she gave the younger woman an affectionate smile. “Hi, Jimmy, glad you could join us. Come in, Loueen, just shove my brood aside. Have a seat and something to drink. Was he fussy on the drive over?”

“No, the old man likes to get out now and then,” Loueen replied, provoking indignant grumbling from Perry.

Title: In Another Lifetime: Whatever It Takes (Historic)
Current Word Count: 6,344
Status: In final stages on reworking.

Spoiler:
“Lois, it’s not like that. There… There’s certain things the human race does that … would be perceived as very primitive on Krypton. And socially unacceptable.” This whole conversation was clearly making Clark very squeamish, but Lois was too much of a reporter to let it go.

Making herself stop, knowing that this wasn’t exactly his fault, Lois took a deep breath. This was getting them nowhere, only stirring up trouble between them to be so accusatory. “What, because we’re still using flint to make fire and slaughtering woolly mammoths? What is it that’s so primitive about us?” she asked, trying to lighten the mood a little even as she probed for the truth.

Working Title: Little Secrets: Unfamiliar

Spoiler:
But ever since he’d accidentally hurt her – such a small injury, Lois herself had done far worse to other lovers with her fingernails and teeth – he’d been keeping his desire on a tight leash. And it drove Lois crazy.

Working Title: So Close: Thanks For The Memories
Current Word Count: 421
Status: Still actively writing first draft

Spoiler:
“Bruce Wayne’s trouble, Lois,” he was saying now, so earnest. You’ve heard of his reputation, I’m sure. I’m just trying to protect you.” The look on his face was that of a worried younger brother, so sure which his sister is in over her head, even if he was five years older than me. If that was even true. But the look in his eyes? Something not so brotherly lurked there, something I was both angry and elated to see. Something like beyond concern. Plain, unvarnished, un-Superman-like jealousy. “He’s not in this for…”

“And what, exactly, do you think I’m in it for, Clark? We all know I’m no lily-white virgin. What’s to say I didn’t go rushing right into his arms when my last little affair went south? That I didn’t lose the man who didn’t want me in one that was more than willing to help me forget?”

Okay, well, that's everything currently on the boards. I just hope you all are as eager to read them as we are to share!
