The original:)
All I can say is whoopee -- my husband, the genius music teacher is a big John Williams fan. Thanks for the headsup :)

Re: The original:)
There really are no words for the awesomeness that is THE John Williams. His music stands the test of time.

I mean, it's not as though John Ottman did such a terrible job on SR. His score was quite fine in all the right places.

But John Williams is John Williams. And if he's indeed in, well, I guess things are a wee bit more likely to get going.

*grins*

Cheers,

Lauré :)

I wondered if you were lurking somewhere! Good to see you again.

And I agree. John Ottman did a great job with the score, even if I had been a bit hesistant about him at first. I was never a fan of the Ken Thorn's work (SII and SIII) or Alexander Courage's (SIV). They're not bad, but they're not John. I've actually become a fan of his stuff. I listen to the SR soundtrack all the time.

But John Williams? The composer of the original Superman Theme and (my favorite) The Love Theme (aka Lois' Theme)? That means that someone believes in the project enough to put his name on it. I'm thrilled to pieces over this news.

John Williams is fantasic. He's (and will always be) the very best there is. Ottoman did a good job, but nothing beats Williams. Then again, the same acticle mentions that the film might not be made at all. *pouts* I do not want to get all my hopes up, only to hear we're not gonna get anything...

There's enough rumbling about it at the moment that I really think that things might have started moving. And if John Williams has his name attached, then that's another good sign. I prefer to be positive about it. ;)
