Lois :: Thoughtful

Love and Other Headaches: When You've Only Got A Hundred Years [Chapter Six; Part One]

Before you start this chapter, I have to warn you that it'll break your heart. The event that happens has been coming for some time now, but it didn't make it any easier to write. A part of me hates that we did it, but we've always been determined to keep this story as real as possible and hopeful we did the event justice. Hate us for it later, but we knew the time was coming for it.

I didn't want to leave this note, but I couldn't NOT do it and not warn for potential tears.

As we said the other week, we'll be back in two weeks with the next ATU chapter, this week being spent on vacation and plotting. We'll see you guys on May 5.

Lois :: Thoughtful

So Nostalgic This Morning

It's amazing. Even when I'm wound up my tightest, these two songs have the ability to fill me with insane amounts of feelings again and make me cry from simple wonder. Somehow, I don't know how, but these can draw out that young girl that was full of awe and whimsy and joy at the magic in the world just from the opening bars.

And then I know that not even the real world can't kill that little girl that wanted to grow up and be Lois Lane and live in Jim Henson's Labyrinth at the same time. The little girl that went to the roller-rink and pretended that she was Kira from Xanadu with all of her fancy rubber-legging. Somewhere, deep inside, that little girl is alive and well and will never leave me, no matter how hard things get.

Which is something I'm grateful for every day.
