ATU :: Earth Clois

If I Hear 'Blue Christmas' One More Time....!

OMG, it's been almost a week since I've been in here! I'm sorry, guys! Things are work are positively insane. BB&B was been a complete 'Clerks on Mistletoe' moment. And then I drew one of the long straws for Black Friday. Let's here it for Lo. *Insert eye roll here*

Well, Anissa will be going out of town for a little break on her own (I had a seperate vacation last month) starting Friday and Lasting until Monday at visit a friend and pick up 'my puppy!', so I'll have more than enough alone time to get caught up on everything. No one worry, we're finishing up the current chapter as we speak and will have it off to Barbara either tonight or tomorrow (no worries, love. I don't *have* to post it until Sunday.)

I did manage to pull off one video this week and we have more than half of the first part of our story for bisty's 'Clois' Christmas fanfiction. That makes ME happy, anyway.

So, I'll leave a better update Saturday! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings and I'll see you here the weekend.

And guys? Less than a week left to Ultimate Superman Goodness!!!!!!! God, I can't wait. New puppy and more Superman than ever. Catch me. I'm gonna faint! :D

Christmas Get To Know You

As per Barbara, I'm passing this along. I like doing these when you guys are involved. :)

Welcome to the 2006 Holiday Edition of Getting to Know Your Friends!

You know the drill. Highlight, copy, and paste (not forward) and change my answers to your answers.

Be sure to send back to me.

Enjoy!! Everyone has time for a few moments of fun! Don't be a scrooge!!! (And Tayler - I fully expect your WHOLE high school to pass this one around, too!)

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?

Hot Chocolate with Caramel Ghiradelli.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?

Wrapped under the tree. What fun is just seeing them?

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?

Colored lights on the house since my mother always insisted on it. The white looks great, though.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?

Several sprigs around the house. And it makes the place smell great.

5. When do you put your decorations up?

On my birthday, Decemeber 11. Was the tradition in my parents' house and we carried it on here.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?

Stuffing (although I'm a cheese for Stovetop) and potatoes. :)

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?

Sneaking out at 4:00 am to look at presents in the dark. My younger twin sisters and I would all stay in my room and sleep in shifts until it was time to open presents.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?

I found out from a friend when I was ten, but told myself that he was still real. Even now, I like to forget the reality of it. :)

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?

Nope. Takes some of the fun out of it for me.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?

Real tree, assorted family ornaments, flying Superman collector's ornament that my parents bought me after I got into Art School, Anissa's heirloom glass, and bead garland.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?

We don't have it! WAAAAAGH!

12. Can you ice skate?

I used to be able to. I'm not even sure we still have that indoor rink here. I hate Florida.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?

There are just too many, although a couple of the 'Lois Lane' lookalike outfits my grandmother bought me coming up were definitely on the top of the list!

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?

Family! And turkey! And shmaltzy carols!

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?

Baklava and Pumpkin-Pecan Pie!

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?

Midnight dinner on Christmas Eve (Casbah delivers!) and A Christmas Story.

17. What tops your tree?

I think ours is a crystal spire right now. I'll have to check.

18. Which do you prefer: giving or Receiving? I like both.  I wish I could afford to give more, though. (With Barbara on this one)

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?

Is one from 'Toys'. 'The Closing of The Year'. Traditional? 'The Little Drummer Boy', I think.

20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yummy?

If it's mint, I'm there. (I'll take your share, Barbara!)

21. Do you shop early or late?

Early. I work retail. Do you really think I'd be caught died in any of this mess? :)
