Especially after watching the Superman Returns trailer again after six months!

Word. Not my favorite trailer - the other one gives me chills every time I watch it - but darn if this one isn't ridiculously awesome as well.

So are you feeling any better? :)
Lois: Lois Clark Lovekalalanekent on January 7th, 2008 08:25 pm (UTC)
Getting there. I think that a bad day and a lack of reviews for two days did it. I feel like an idiot after a hard day at work and the lack of reviews lately makes me feel like a bad writer. Never a good combo.

Hence the tag 'lois the whiney'.

Hmm, I don't see any tags. Maybe they're only visible to you, if that's possible, but whatever.

Well, not every chapter has to be as exciting as Richana, even though you have to keep moving things along. IMO, 72 is the same high quality as all the other chapters - you're NOT a bad writer, it's just a slower spot. I'm certain that reviews will pick up at the end, especially if you advertise that it's the end. As for the bad day... *hugs back*

Thanks, love. Anissa didn't keep you up too late, did she? I see she exhausted poor Lea.

And I'm off today, so I might just sit and watch the DC later. Always cheers me up. Either that or Black Christmas. That last is always good for plotting Young Lois. *hugs BC's Barb and gets a strange look*

Well, it was a little late for a school day, but I don't have to be anywhere until two today (in half an hour, lol) so it didn't matter one bit. I know, poor Lea!

Hee, Barb is awesome, and just perfect for young Lois. I imagine her getting into trouble like that in college, definitely. Have fun watching; and I'm off to class! :)

*hugs again*

Trust me, little bits and pieces of her college years come out from time to time. Kal-El just shakes his head, not sure whether to be amused or horrified. I think my favorite is still the pool-hustling for grocery money.

Okay, I would LOVE to see this written. Especially Kal-el caught between laughing and horror. *grin* But you have quite enough on your plate as it is *rolls eyes at self*

You will, at some point. If not in LS itself, you'll see it in the oneshots. Anissa and I love this side of her enough to put it in. Promise. *wink*

Silly girl -- you have hundreds of reviews and we all love your writing.

Re: reviews
*headdesk* I always forget that people read these replies.

*looks embarassed* I know I do; it's just that the reviews per chapter are the way I know we did a good job on it. When reviews are slow (usually on a good chapter I get three reviews over here the first day), we kinda wonder if we didn't manage to grab everyone's attention.

It's a stupid writer-thing from being school-trained for this. And I'm just being moody. Nevermind me, Kara. Lois iz dork. *crawls into the corner looking red-faced and embarassed*

I know-- I can't wait till 2009 -- and now they say Singer is off the project and it could get pushed to 2010 because of Justice League.
Guh -- at this rate I'll be in a wheelchair before it gets made(so will Brandon)

Re: sequel
See, my question is 'when did the JLA project become so damn important?' They've been back-burnering that project for years. Why is it so important now?

And I'm now resolved not to believe any of the rumors until one of the boys (either Bryan or Brandon) confirm. This is exactly the kind of stuff they pulled while SR was in production. Every day there was another reason for why WB was pulling the plug. And it never happened.

If they do, however, I'm going to go to WB and personally hand their behinds to them.

We'll get it. Even if I have to beat some shareholders upside the head to do it.

*hugs her favorite movie*
I've seen it at least 70 or 80 times since I bought it (I lost count somewhere around 36, 37). It deserves a sequel!!

And stop fretting over reviews! I know, I know, I know. Trust me, I do. But you know the quality of your work and you know what, in the end, you gotta trust yourself anyway, even if you don't have half your flist trying to beat some sense into your head!

About the reviews and apparent lack thereof. As some might say, don't go and put your knickers in a twist over those. It might just be that some are shy (like me, until recently) or that some are rather busy on their own end of things (like me, at least for the moment).

If they don't review, it doesn't necessary follow that they don't read. And sometimes the chappie is that good that we feel a wee bit foolish for writing something along the line of *is speechless* or "that's great!". Coming up with a decent, original review can at times be a hardship. Of course, a little review is perhaps better than no review, but I feel that if I can't add to what's been said already, then I might as well let others say it better.

And as for the SR sequel thing, well, I, too, have decided not to let it worry me. My time is precious, and it's better if I spend it in a somewhat constructive manner. Endless hours of wringing my hands isn't going to change a thing at the studios (if they even have half a working script, to begin with), so unless the B Boys (Bryan or Brandon) either confirm it or infirm it, who knows what's really happening?

Honestly, I feel like taking that post down. It was not to imply that you guys were shorting me or anything. Having a bad day and being unsure of myself was part of it; the other part is that we really should have known better than to post during the holiday. I'm sorry if it sounded too much like a whine. I'm a dork and fully admit it. I apologize. *utterly embarassed*

I just wish we'd hear from the two of them, one way or the other.
(Anonymous) on January 9th, 2008 02:01 pm (UTC)

Don't ever stop posting during the Holidays. I could actually take the time to enjoy the chapters instead of opting for a quick read like I usually do. There's nothing more satisfying than to read a good book (or fanfic), knowing you've got all the time in the world to do so.

And you're not a dork. Concern over the reception of your work is entirely natural and legitimate, especially taking into account the quality of said work. I guess it's a measure of the loyalty of your readers that when you express such a concern, they come in to reassure you. But if you feel uneasy, then by all means tell us.

Better to let it out than let it fester, I say.
