List 7 songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words or even if they're not any good but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to in absolute random order.

1. Teenagers - My Chemical Romance- *LOL* This little guy is giving me the worst 'Heirs'-era Lois and Kala plot bunnies. I always hear the chorus in Lois' dead-pan tone. *snort* "Maybe they'll leave you alone...but not me."

2. Misery Business - Paramore- This one is just such a great vicious little song for any jealousy fic. I see it as more of an HP thing, but it makes me think of the comic Lois and Lana something fierce.

3. Lost- Red - OMG, the emo angst! I ran across this beauty on an H/HR video and feel head over heels for it. It really helped to get the last two chappies online for me. *hugs song*

4. Welcome To The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance - With Saavi on this one. Did anyone know that this is the theme to 'Heirs'? :D ;)

5. Rule the World - Take That- Another one of those songs that just catches me in the chest and kills me with its beauty. SO a Clois song.

6. I Know You're Out There Somewhere -The Moody Blues- We have an important moment coming up in LS set to this song, dealing with its sister. You'll love it. Promise. ;)

7. Maroon 5- Wake Up Call- *evil chuckle* Evil plot bunny. Evil, evil plot bunny! Damn you, Saavi!

Music pimping is my favorite pastime :D I'll let you know :D

LMAO! I can totally see "Teenagers" for Jason and Kala. :p Of course, I see it as totally sarcastic, since I have no fear whatsoever of teenagers (hence my absolutely insane love of teaching high school O_o). I always think of Clark when I hear "Black Parade", though, except that Clark man's up and grows into the hero role quite nicely. ^_^

Glad to have supplied you with an evil, crackilicious plot bunny, hon! *cackles maniacally* ^_^ BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I'm amazed how well MCR works for both twins as teenagers. There's a part in the opener of Heirs that's set to two of their other songs.

And that plot bunny. XD It's so EVIL!! *snickers*

Since the only one of those that I know I know is Wake Up Call, my eyes are narrowed at you two...;)
Lois: Lois Hellcatkalalanekent on November 25th, 2007 02:36 am (UTC)
Oh, the Wake-Up Call plot bunny is pure evil. Vicious. And involves the death of a major DC player. Is just evil. You don't want to know and Saavi woke it up again. *wags finger accusingly*

Trust me, finding the rest of those songs is pure love. If you wanna spoiler yourself, listen to 'In Your Wildest Dreams' and then the one I mentioned above. You'll understand what I mean when you hear it.

OMG, I've been tagged while out of town... you know it's pure luck and my own obsession that I caught this post at all...

Whenever my last.fm stats update for the week, I'll do it, okay?

#1 made me ROFL! If only there were some way to make a Lois and Kala video! Yep, #2 is very Lois and Lana. I wonder if you've heard No Good Advice by Girls Aloud; it always makes me think of a rebellious teenage Lois. I kinda like #3, but it reminds me a little too much of Linkin Park and middle school angst ;P Ohh, I'm guessing Heirs is a future-twins-fic? Can't wait! #4 seems very appropriate for that. Aww, #5 is a nice song. I can't help but think that Superman would take exception to the suggestion to rule the world, though! xD I really like #6, that's beautiful. The girl in the beginning of the music video took me by surprise, though - she looks almost exactly like MK!Lois for a moment!

Disclaimer #1: I'm trying to avoid cluttering up my icon journal with memes, so I hope it's okay if I post mine here in the comments.

Disclaimer #2: I don't listen to the radio and I'm pretty much disconnected from any and all popular music culture, so what I like ends up being completely random (right now, it's movie music, as you'll see) and consequently I can never talk to anybody about music...I'm going to have to look up all your songs on Youtube, having never heard (or heard of) any of them except Maroon 5.

Disclaimer #3: I can't distinguish lyrics very well without listening to a song over and over; generally the music is what matters to me, not the lyrics, unless they're easily understandable.

Okay, in no particular order (with Youtube links, because it's a lot of fun):

1. God Is God by Juno Reactor - I'm a religious studies major, so I find this absolutely fascinating...plus I really love the music.

2. Dirge by Death in Vegas - The song is lovely. This isn't the real music video, but I thought it was breathtaking, and you might get a kick out of it. Plus it always gets me inspired for Lois/Clark. ;D

3. Prelude 12/21 by AFI - okay, this one is entirely your fault. I had never heard it before your LS video and became completely addicted to the song. (I'm Aurnien on youtube [and FFN], btw, just so you know.)

4. Such Great Heights by The Postal Service - another example of getting utterly addicted to a song because of a video, this one in particular. This will remain for me the quintessential CR/MK Superman vid and song, forever.

5. Stay Tuned by Ambulance LTD - The beginning reminds me of Radiohead, except I can't figure out which song. I love this song. Unfortunately I can't find it on Youtube, sorry.

6. On the Bound by Fiona Apple - together with To Your Love and A Mistake, this is my quintessential Star Wars playlist.

7. Battle of Kerak from the Narnia soundtrack - this and just about anything else that sounds like it are what I'm really listening to now. I'm addicted to movie music (partly because it's so great for making trailers) ;P

Oh yeah, I'm back from Thanksgiving (got sick, washed my cell phone in my jeans and had to buy a new one, but was otherwise fantastic) and catching up on comments, if you hadn't noticed ;) Hope your guys' Thanksgiving was great as well. ♥

I swear, you guys are the best sources for new songs. That's part of the reason I love these memes. And I take full credit for 3) and 4) on your list. Those two songs, dramatically different as they may be, really grab me every time! And we both like the same Fiona Apple songs! She's got the most amazing voice, doesn't she?

About my songs, 1) I saw the two of them the moment I heard it and laughed my head off. Both that and 4) are going to be used for Heirs to the House of El which is the sequel to Little Secrets and set around the time of All's Fair. It's a little heavier than LS, but I think the twins' journey in that one is well worth it. It's almost completely planned out.

And I think we can assume that 5) is a figure of speech! *LOL* I'm so in love with that song!

And 6) will be making an appearance in tomorrow's chapter and very significantly, too. ;)

And there are four songs here for me to download from your list and get to know, which makes me happy. Thanks, rizny!
