Okay, Is It Just A Busy Week Or Are We Boring Everyone Again?
Well, Halloween was great. We spent the day with our friends and readers Connie and Jeremy in beautiful Savannah in wonderful weather. A trip up to Yemassee, to the Carolina Cider Company, yielded bottles of Muscadine, Peach, and Blackberry Cider, as well as several kinds of jellies. Once that was done, it was off to the famous Bonaventure Cemetery (featured in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil). We got there around 3:00 and stayed until almost closing at 5. It was a great walk, as always. We took quite a few pictures there and marvelled over it for the hundredth time (we love the place and have yet to get through the whole thing in one afternoon). Then onward to River Street and the Savannah Candy Kitchen. The amount of money I spend in that shop is just insane. Three boxes of their pralines, both the original and the chocolate, and a half-pond of Halloween gophers later, we were off again. Lunch at the Burger King in the historic section (we plan to go back to Olympia, the Greek resturant there on the river that Anissa took me to for my birthday the other year, the next time we have the money. I shopped too much for anything else), then back on the highway. All in all, a very enjoyable Halloween/Samhein. And the night isn't over just yet. We still have plans before bedtime. *sighs happily*

I'm also happy to report that I've begun the Christmas shopping and that we may have a solution to the computer problem. Other than the power supply replacement.*grins happily* But that doesn't mean that I'm not crossing my fingers.

Now, for my fellow fic writers,I have a question. Have everyone's reviews slowed lately? Or just ours? Is it just because of the beginning of the holiday season and everyone's busy? I'd like to think that's what it is, but the numbers for the last chapter or so have been worrisome. We have a little ways longer to go with Little Secrets, but I'm starting to worry again that we may be drawing things out too much. Yes, Lois is being a worrywart again. I just don't want to lose the audience before the end. I don't want to be the series that went on two seasons too long. One more chapter to One Week and I'm biting my nails. Just give me a heads-up, all.

Now, I'm off to add to I Know The Truth and will be waking Anissa from a nap to work on the chapter shortly. *hugs*

Sorry I haven't gotten to your latest chapters yet, ladies. *is embarrassed* I should get those read in the next few days.

But yeah, reviews have been slow. Especially for folks on The Planet. Aside from challenges (and the insane amount of fic that a select few in DCU fandom put out), there isn't much going on. Most of the huge multi-arc fic (especially for SR) has been completed and read. *shrug* Hopefully I'll pick up more folks as the Big Edit continues. And I'm sure all your readers haven't fallen away from the story. Yeah, the big action plot is done, but here's where we get some fluff and a little angst to work out the resolution. (did that make sense? my brain is mush at this hour. :p)

Anyways, like I said, reviews in a few days. :)

*hugs* And happy Samhain!!! :D

There's no real rush, love. It's just that I know that we're finally doing alot of fluff and that's not what we're best known for. I just worry that we'll bore everyone before the resolution, despite what we have planned. I just never know if we're hitting right except for you guys.

Honestly, no worries. *hugs*

And I hope you had a great 'New Years', too! ;)

*sprints across cyberspace and leaps into your arms* TWIN!!!!!!! :D

Yeah, reviews have been slow for me, too. Even though I haven't added much to any of ym stories lately, I have yet to hear from certain readers. So no, it's not just you. Besides, any person who just randomly stops reading your fic is a dumb-head. You need at least a permission slip from the authors and the beta team, as well as a valid excuse. ;)

Oh, and I've begun Christmas shopping, too! Back in September, actually. *is a nut* I might even have one or two things that require... shipping...

*hugs you for dear life* Twin!!!

I know I got through these cycles of worrying and I apologize for it, but it's my only indicator that we're still doing well. Then again, I have some chapters that have 4 reviews and others with 11. I take that to mean that the chapter that has eleven was the more impressive. How else do you know?

(*LOL* on the permission slip. Although it would drive them off even more.)

Oh, you have been shopping, huh? Good thing we've been looking, too, huh? :D

Wow, look like you had a lot of fun!!! :D I would love to spend my money in candies, too, haha!!

Fanfic's reviews are made of ups and downs, ladies! Don't take it personnaly, I'm sure poeple are just busy! Just go on your ff.net account and see the number of hit, to really see how many people actually read the chapters!! :) I'm sure it's quite a lot.
Your fic is still awesome, don't be worry about it. Never!

Oh, trust me, I had to save back the $100 for this trip and it wasn't easy. *LOL* We make this trip every year just to get the goodies. I dream about cider and praline all year, although we cheated in April and got a gallon of Blackberry when we went to the cabin. I think we're rationing the last of it.

I know that they go up and down; it's just that that's my only way of knowing if we're being long-winded or not. And I don't want to lose readers before Lex's final appearance in the fic. You miss that, you miss the setup for Heirs. :D

Hello there! I've been hanging round your lj for a while, (mainly to read Little Secrets!), and I feel kinda guilty cause I never review! My (pathetic) excuse is that I usually forget! But, just thought I'd let you know that there are others out there reading this brilliant story, even if we forget to review sometimes! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Hello! Thanks so much for delurking! *hugs*

And I don't mind the lack of reviews all that much (Lord knows I'm not doing my share while reading this, something I plan to change the minute we're done with LS). It's just that it's my way of knowing that everyone is still enjoying the fic. And seeing you here tells me that I must still be. Don't feel bad. Hey, I know you're here now, right? :)

I ought to have a National Delurking Day, just to see what ghost have been lurking about! Again, thank you. This meant a lot.

Hummm, I've noticed the stories are coming a bit slower. I, for one, am trying to get caught up to all the updates, hopefully this weekend. I still love you guys and your stories. Hey, I'm not going anywhere, not if I can help it!
Lois: Kal-El SexyBackkalalanekent on November 1st, 2007 06:21 pm (UTC)
'The stories', as in the fandom in general? Yeah, I had noticed that. I just think it's funny, since I'm of the urge to kill WB for making us wait this long for the sequel. I refuse to listen to the rumors until I hear WB say it's over. For me, my plot bunnies are going mad from the lack of new material. Bryan, get this show on the road! Or someone give me his number and I'll help. Hell, we'll write the damn script, but let's do this thing! *grumbles*

But, back to us, that's fine, love. I just worry about the regulars and if we're boring you. There's not all that much left, but enough that I don't want us turning into the last season of L&C (no insult intended there), where you're going 'Is it over yet?'.

All I know is that I can't wait for One Week. Do you know how long I've been waiting for this?? I was nearly frothing at the mouth in the springtime on the phone with Anissa... OMG.

So it's a little slow for me. But then I read the next chappie and I go, oh, yeah, that's awesome!

But there's still a tiny voice going... ZOMG, wen iz wun weec cumin!</i>

And I owe you my last reviews, I know, I know. That is 7 birthday ficlets in one month.

*goes and find the Waterpik to hose Mom down with*

Take slow, deep breaths, B. Besides, One Week starts next week. Can you wait that long? ;)
Barbara: Clois Smug Coffeehtbthomas on November 3rd, 2007 08:23 pm (UTC)
I'm not sure if a Waterpik would be enough!

But I'm happy to wait ONE more WEEK. :D
ellalou73 on November 2nd, 2007 05:55 am (UTC)
I'm not sure about on here, I only get a few reviews for LJ for which I am greatful, but at ff.net my last chapter of Jason the Hero only got one, so maybe something there. Getting alot of hits though, so I don't know what up with that.

be back from vacation on Sunday..HUGs..
Lois: Kal-El In Lovekalalanekent on November 3rd, 2007 07:54 pm (UTC)
It's okay, Ella. I knew you were going to be out of town. *hugs* And the last two will be here when you get back. *another round of you're-very-much-missed hugs*

I was paying attention until I came across 'One Week'. Now I've forgotten what I just read. That's pretty significant considering I still don't know what that fic is about...
Lois: Kal-El Grinkalalanekent on November 3rd, 2007 07:55 pm (UTC)
Oh, you'll know soon enough, Miss Member-of-the-Beta-Team. ;)
