Process Complete!

First week of Anissa's writing schedule worked out perfectly. The chapter is finished and with the beta team with a final tally of 7,662 words and fifteen pages. Our time in Smallville is winding down, though; a chapter or two and we're back to the Big Apricot. I've really loved working on this section, but we have another event on the horizon. That and I hope we're not boring anyone. ;)

Also on the burner are my personal oneshot from Original Movieverse, Out of Reach. It will follow canon between SIII and SIV. And anyone who's seen either film know how SIII ends and a little infamous bomb Lois drops on him in the first half hour. It has something in common with LS. It will be angsty, so just fair warning. And Anissa and I are both going to particate in

quirky_circe's Twenty Random Fact About... DCU. We have fifteen facts each so far for both Lois and Kal-El. That's 30, counting both. Now we just need ten more. Five each. And I think someof ours even approach being as cool as Tam's. Almost. ;)

And we also have two other oneshots to finish. It's a good time to be an LS fan, folks. The Muse and the Plot Bunny of Doom must be in one this together.

Oh, and thanks to those who gave their support yesterday. I eventually took a powder from work. I called my boss and told him the truth, something I was scared to do, but I respect him enough not to lie to him. I just told him I hadn't slept and was afraid I would start getting upset in front of the customers. He said okay and was, bless him, sympathic. I used to be a little scared of Andy, but that's been changing. I also get the feeling that my friends have been telling him how stressed I've been. So I have yesterday, tonday, and tomorrow to chill. And I'm taking off the 25th, as well as the 30th and 31st, so I might just get myself back in gear sooner than I thought. *sighes with relief* I hate feeling dread when I go to work. In spite of the stress, I really do love my job. *hugs*

See you all later tonight!

ETA: Out Of Reach will be entitled I Know The Truth. I currently have 300 words on it, although I'm starting at the most important moment of the story and working outward. This one is going to hurt, but I always wondered why it was never explored.

Here's a spoiler:

Before I could stop myself, before I remember the secret I was hiding, I blurted out, Clark gave it to you?  My eyes went from the rock to Clark, filled with disbelief, something dying inside me. He just smiled at me, just Clark Kent, so proud of himself for hooking the old hometown flame. How I hated him in that instant, how I wanted to yell at him for being such a liar right here in front of God and Perry. Let the biggest story of the century explode into a front-page exclusive before his eyes. The sudden pain was so strong; it was all I could do to dummy up. A part of me deep inside was screaming. No, he couldn’t. His words. His mission. He couldn’t. Not after what he told me…

That pert little cheerleader smile, so sure of herself, as she speared me straight through the heart and slowly twisted the blade.  Yes, she replied in the tone of someone who has found that a priceless Faberge Egg has been thrown away with the misperception that it’s an Easter egg.
