Mi Vida Loca

Whiney remodel boss.  More arrogent customers than usual (what's in the water?). Not even Halloween yet. Christmas Seasonal is up, including the cinnamon pinecones. Christmas music playing over the CD Display. Piped-in Christmas music in next. Another employee out the door. I can't take any days before Halloween. And that's only two days. The week off is in February. Two meltdowns last night before we even closed (one of which was me and I smoked three cigarettes last night. As Angela said last night, "I never thought I'd hear you say that." I never take smoke breaks.)

Just another day in Paradise. Shoot me. *Lane-style eyeroll* Makes me wish I could ship her off to work for me. She'd straighten them out. *sigh*

In other news, the writing is coming along beautifully. Chapter 61, tentatively entitled The Girl Next Door (Yes, it has to do with my lyrics icon.) is currently at 3,053 words and seven pages. At the moment, Lois and Lana are having a discussion on the back porch about the redhead and Clark. and their past. I'm so glad to have a medium in which these two characters can get along.

We also are about 1,294 words and and three pages into the Clois version of Intimadation, set two weeks before a very important event in LS. Give you a hint. It's after Christmas. ;) And it special-guest-stars Grizzly Lombard. This one is a lot of fun, trust me. And very Clois.

And shortly we'll be writing the short for Animal for 12days_of_clois, as well. That should go pretty fast, as it's been in our heads since about September of last year.

Last but not least, I plan to gack quirky_circe 's 20 Things About... meme for Lois and Kal-El. This looks like so much fun. Thanks for the brilliant idea, Tam! *blows kisses*

And I'll send those icon picks tonight, Babette!

Okay, all! Back to Bed, Bath, and OMFG. Pray for me. *rolls eyes again*

ETA: I'm an idiot. *headdesk* Forgot to include The Girl Next Door lyrics. This song is pretty much Lois and Lana's theme about each other, what they both see when they look at the other one, but looking from the outside in. And before they really started to know each other.

Lois to Lana
Small town homecoming queen
She's the star in this scene
There's no way to deny she's lovely
Perfect skin, perfect hair
Perfumed hearts everywhere
Tell myself that inside she's ugly
Maybe I'm just jealous
I can't help but hate her
Secretly I wonder if my boyfriend wants to date her

She is the prom queen, I'm in the marching band
She is a cheerleader, I'm sitting in the stands
She gets the top bunk, I'm sleeping on the floor
She's Miss America and I'm just the girl next door

Lana to Lois:
Senior class president
She must be heaven sent
She was never the last one standing
A backseat debutaunt
Everything that you want
(said sarcastically) Never too harsh or too demanding
Maybe I'll admit it
I'm a little bitter
Everybody loves her but I just wanna hit her

She is the prom queen, I'm in the marching band
She is a cheerleader, I'm sitting in the stands
She gets the top bunk, I'm sleeping on the floor
She's Miss America and I'm just the girl next door
Oh and I'm just the girl next door

I don't know why I'm feeling sorry for myself
I spend all my time wishing that I was someone else

She is the prom queen I'm in the marching band
She is a cheerleader I'm sitting in the stands
I get a little bit, she gets a little more
She's Miss America and... she's Miss America
I'm just the girl next door...
