Busy, Busy Me Yet Again
Wow, I've got a full plate today! It's amazing how far behind you get in your goals when RL interferes!

Most of the afternoon has been spent gathering photos, old and new, to the Image Bank I have on the computer. Added new photos of Eva Marie Saint, Annette O'Toole, a couple of new Margot, and I'm looking for some good ones of James Marsden and of the actor that played Ben Hubbard.  And there are frustratingly few of Tristan right now. *stomps foot* Need to cruise by and get a couple new Jodelle pics as well. Biggest problem right now is narrowing down Lucy and Ron. Any suggestions for either, everyone? I wanted to use Bos for Lucy, but several people think that's too confusing.

The photo gallery is starting to be uploaded as we speak. Could take a while. I have so much stuff. *sighing as she looks at all twenty folders* I have everything from comics to Smallville to tons of film images, even *shudder* L&C for posterity. about 100 images in and loading.

Also discussing severeal icon ideas with the Kat, even some stuff that's upcoming. Especially a couple of Christmas surprises. :D And I have to once again thank her from the bottom of my heart for all of the help she's given us, from the first custom layout and Richana & Twins icons to the current layout and our banners. I love you SO much for this, elliania! *hugs the Kat*  *finds something while still posting and screams with joy* Guess what I found, Kat!? Jim Bowers, you are a GOD

Hint:

(They're not bases, but I have screen-shots of the entire Donner Cut! *SQUEEEE!!*

And in writing news, we're currently at an amazing 4,234 words and eight pages. OMG, I'm trying to remember the last time we were this far on a Tuesday. Ben and Clark have had a scene together and Clark has also spent some quality time with the Smallville Geezer Society (also know as the Old Farts Brigade). And Lois has become the talk of the town. Wow, and she hasn't even been there twenty-four hours yet. I know where I want the chapter to end, but I'm not so sure we'll get there. Did I mention a bit more Richana this chapter? :D

Let's see how the rest of the evening goes!

Just curious - do you not like L&C? I'm sort of mixed on it ... there are things I really liked about it but also things I didn't like about it. I've found most of the people I know seem to have loved it ...

*looks forward to next chapter*

Actually, saying I didn't like it is pretty mild. I hated that they made it into a romantic comedy. I can't stand it when they dumb the story down at all. I watched it for three seasons because it was the only new Superman to be had, but I just never really enjoyed it.

Teri wasn't too bad, but they made her look fluff-brained just often enough to I wanted to scream.

Cain's Clark wasn't that bad, but there were alot of things I don't think Clark would have ever said that they let him get away with.

That said, don't ask me what I thought of his Superman. And where the hell were his contacts? Superman has never been brown-eyed. See Brandon.

*groans, feels a miraine coming on*

Sorry, I always get like that over L&C.

No need to apologise - like I said I have mixed feelings about it myself. On one hand I thought it was a fun show and I really liked Dean Cain. He wasn't really MY Superman perse but he was fun to watch and I always got the impression he was really digging on the role.

I didn't really mind the romantic comedy idea but I think the way they played it out was ... well, I was mixed on it. My main thing about the show is that I never liked Teri Hatcher's Lois much. I did keep comparing her to Margot when the show was on which probably wasn't fair to her but she just grated on me - especially in the beginning of the show. She sort of grew on me in the end but I can remember when the show was first aired actually yelling at the tv - and because of that I had a hard time really 'getting' what Clark saw in her. So because of that that the romantic comedy aspect didn't work. For me anyway. I think TW and ED have a lot more chemistry in terms of a tv version of the characters, too. They have the sexual tension but it's not completely in your face. (But then again they keep throwing Blana in the way so that's a whole other thing ... )

Also it was very campy at times - sometimes that was fun but a lot of times it really played on my suspension of disbelief (for example their wedding - and those frogs - wtf) which is always a factor with me. (Why I can believe a man can fly in the first place but can't believe some of the other stuff that went on is beyond me but there ya go. LOL)

Loony Loopy Lea Lovegoodchickadilly on September 19th, 2007 12:18 am (UTC)
Oh the eyes - yeah his brown eyes kinda bugged me. TW's green eyes don't bother me as much for some reason. I'm not sure why ...

I dunno that much about Dean Cain, maybe he can't wear contacts? I know Dan Rad gets a lot of heat sometimes but he actually can't wear contacts. I guess they tried them in the first movie and he had a reaction to them.

Which I can relate to - I also can't wear them. But then I'm not an actress making a lot of money either. Heh.

I'm not making a lot of sense, am I?
Lois: Lois Lost In Thoughtkalalanekent on September 19th, 2007 12:48 am (UTC)
You are. I guess it's just because I'm a stickler for details. That just drove me nuts. And the sexual tension on that show. It was like that was what it was all about from the moment they met. GRRR! And I'm with you. I spent the whole time going, "We went from Christopher and Margot to this?"

And I'm not much on the silly plotlines. Actually, I hated them. I missed several episodes for just that reason. The Christmas episode with the rats is my best example of utter loathing for that show. *shudder*

Funny thing is, the only characters I enjoyed on it were Jonathan Kent, Michael Landes' Jimmy, and the Lois Clone. *shrug*

Twin time? TWIN TIME!!!

... but can it be a little earlier? I have to be at work early again tomorrow, and I've been going through sleep troubles again... *can hear your startled gasp from here*
Lois: Lois-Twinkalalanekent on September 19th, 2007 12:44 am (UTC)
The earilest I can make it is around eight-thirty. Is that okay? I still need to iron out some stuff with Kat and wash Kala.
sean_montgomery: Me-amusedsean_montgomery on September 19th, 2007 12:47 am (UTC)
Eight-thirty is good. Gives me some time to get the little stuff done so I can just hop into bed when we're done. 'Cause, you know... counting the little stuff in GM tomorrow requires my full attention. Obviously our GM manager isn't well equip to organize his own things. *rolls eyes*

Either one sounds great. Especially since The Kat was just told about the Richana holiday secret for a new icon. *grins and laughs*

Loony Loopy Lea Lovegoodchickadilly on September 20th, 2007 03:17 am (UTC)
Oh I just realized I never said my suggestion for Lucy - Karen Allen. Why? Because when I first saw Raiders of the Lost Ark (mind you I was a kid) I actually thought that was Margot until the credits rolled. I think it's the eyes - in any case they look like they could be sisters. :D
Loony Loopy Lea Lovegoodchickadilly on September 20th, 2007 03:20 am (UTC)
Er, I should say a young Karen ALlen. LOL

I think the reason I thought it was Margot was that Karen's character in Raiders (Marion Ravenwood) had certain Lois like qualities which I loved. She also has large green eyes and dark hair which also reminded me of Margot. LOL

Lois: Lois B&Wkalalanekent on September 20th, 2007 06:07 pm (UTC)
It's a brilliant suggestion, Lea, and I had considered it at one point. But there's the small matter of the fact that Lucy is a blonde. That's my biggest problem. Finding a blonde that looks enough like her is difficult. Thank God we have no idea what Sam looked like. Lucy may be the very image of Daddy.
